Lecturer: Fu Jun

Abstract:

The speech first describes a new theoretical framework of non-convex dynamic optimization that can accurately meet path constraints under finite iterations, then states several extended applications of the optimization theory in switching systems, and finally introduces the challenges and prospects of non-convex dynamic optimization and hybrid intelligent dynamic optimization in the future industrial intelligence.

Introduction to the Lecturer:

Fu Jun, born in 1979, is a professor and doctoral supervisor from Northeastern University, winner of National Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars and expert enjoying the special allowance of the State Council. Now, he is the dean of the School of Future Technologies, Northeastern University. He obtained a doctor degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Northeastern University in 2006 and a second doctor degree in Mechanical and Engineering from Concordia University in Canada in 2009, and acted as a full-time postdoctoral researcher of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2010 to 2014.

He is mainly engaged in the research of dynamic optimization, nonlinear control and industrial artificial intelligence. He has issued more than 100 papers, including more than 40 papers in IEEE and IFAC transactions. He has won the 2016 Young Scientist Award of Chinese Association of Automation and 2018 Young Scientist Award of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (the first winner in the field of automatic control management, the number of winners in all fields of the award is not more than 10 every year). In addition, he takes some academic part-time jobs, including Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Association of Automation, and editorial board member (AE) ofIEEE Trans. Industrial Informatics,IEEE Trans. Neural Networks and Learning Systems,IEEE Trans. on SMC: Systems,Control Engineering Practice,Acta Automatica SinicaandJournal of Systems Engineering.
