题目: The Fattorini-Hautus test Slides

摘要:

In this talk, I will present a very useful and not enough well-known condition for the controllability and stabilization of PDEs, the so-called Fattorini-Hautus test.

I will then illustate the power of this test with numerous important applications coming from several joint works.

The first application will notably reveal the role of the geometry of the control domain for the approximate controllability of systems of coupled heat equations with less controls than equations.

Then, I will show that this test is also crucial for the rapid or finite-time stabilization of some PDEs.

Finally, I will conclude with a new and very general result on the exact controllability of compact perturbations of exactly controllable systems.
