Presenter: Liu Fawang

Abstract:

The lecture is mainly intended to introduce the experience and feelings of the scientific research on the numerical simulation of complex dynamical system and its application in Queensland University of Technology in the recent 28 years. The scientific research mainly involves: microwave heating, rapid iron making, combustion wave, moving boundary & singular perturbation, adsorbent transport, seawater immersion in the groundwater layer, review of numerical methods for fractional order model, application of fractional order model in medicine (anomalous diffusion of human brain tissues, numerical simulation of epidemic model), application of fractional order model in bio-system (numerical simulation of electrophysiological system in heart), application of viscoelastic non-Newtonian fluid, etc., and domestic and international development of fractional differential equation. It will also introduce the progress, challenges and open problems concerning the computation of fractional order.
