Abstract: with the vision of being a world-renowned centre of industrially driven academic excellence in the field of structural integrity, TWI has led the development of a new, world class, purpose built facility designed and equipped research centre for structural integrity management. The project started from 2012 receiving funding from UK government and various industrial partners. This report will provide an introduction to NSIRC and the opportunities for conducting postgraduate research aboard with NSIRC.

Biography: Xiaofei Cui is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) approved by Engineering Council. She is an experienced asset risk and reliability engineer and product life cycle manager with track-record of managing and delivering high-profile projects. Her technical interest includes engineering management science, asset risk and reliability analysis, data-driven techniques, decision support, and product life cycle sustainability.
